I never sent a story about my Spaghetti Pie Nice
Folks voted anyways. Here's the story and why one day I had some pasta, some sauce and sausage too.
I wanted something differentand didn't know what to do.
The boys had friends to supper I had lots of tummies to fill. A hearty Italian Dish Would surely fit the bill.
So it was quick and easy and it was all the rave
We make this in my home often. It's become a family fave
I've tweaked it a bit over the years adding spices and organic stuff too. So I am sharing my Spaghetti Pie recipe a gift from me to you
Sorry there is no photo. Have no camera so that's why but I promise it's delicious
Please give it a try
Cook 2 pounds Spaghetti , drain and reserve
In large bowl mix 2 pounds Ricotta Cheese with 3 lightly whisked eggs and 1/2 cup whole milk.
Add the spaghetti to the bowl and stir. Place spaghetti in a 9x13x2 pan.
In separate skillet brown 1 pound spicy Italian sausage and 1 pound ground beef (or ground chuck), add about 1 cup of your favorite sauce and stir.
Top the spaghetti with the meat sauce and place 1 pound Provolone cheese slices on top and 1/2 cup Romano Cheese on top and bake in preheated 475 degree oven 1/2 hour.
Serves at least a dozen people, or a few very hungry teens.
