Beef Osso Bucco

INGREDIENTS
4 beef shanks
2 TBL. butter
5 TBL. olive oil
6 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 large onion, chopped
1 TBL chopped chives
4 bay leaves, whole
fresh ground pepper
2 sprigs fresh rosemary
8 oz. beef broth
PREPARATION
In a 9 x 13 glass pan, arrange beef shanks in a single layer.
In a separate pan,melt butter and add olive oil. Saute onion and garlic.
Pour over beef.
Sprinkle remaining ingredients on top in order.
Pour beef broth over all.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
