It's layered with pasta, meatballs, eggs, cheese and gravy. This is my grandmother's traditional recipe from Aragona, Italy, which is made only on Holy Saturday. Also, enjoy the step-byp-step slide show on our home page which details this recipe. Mangia Italiano! This Easter recipe is a tribute to my Grandmother Theresa who brought back a special delicacy from her hometown of Aragona, Agrigento, Sicily. Taganu D’Aragona has been prepared on Good Saturday in Sicily from at least the 1600’s.
